Congrats on the beautiful baby guys.

I laughed at your description of being a waiter with a fussy customer or baby sitting and the parents aren't coming back. At this point, that about describes it. He is a baby and defines self absorbed, eh? Nothing like parenting to teach us unqualified love. The really cool thing is being there to teach them and help them become people who are ultimately mature and givers vs. child takers. Quite a process, but my experience is the "connecting" gets better and better. Probably the hardest and most rewarding work you'll ever do.
