COME INSIDE
When you look at me, what do you see?
Do you only notice my face and body Are you willing to get to know the person inside Or will you put up a front because of your ego and pride?
Will you listen to me with your eyes and see me with your ears Did you notice that my facial expressions and body language might not be what you hear Can you see all of my flaws and not judge me just the same You tell me I am beautiful outside, but do you even remember my name
There is a lot more to me than this outer layer of skin I am an intelligent, sensitive, deep person within My name is Nicole and if you ever took the time You would look past my face and body and get to know what is on my mind
I have thoughts and dreams that go a lot farther than this space They go up past the clouds to an unknown, forbidden place Once my mind starts to wander, there is no knowing where it will end Swimming amongst the sharks deep in the ocean or maybe just chillin.. with a friend
I like the simple things in life, but I strive for the very best And I know now that knowledge, love and respect are the keys to happiness and success
