I've got a foot in so many different camps, just call me a
centipede: Mother...man. Blue-collar worker (back when!) now
university grad. From tomboy, to Catholic schoolgirl, to frum
Jewish housewife, to lesbian feminist, and-finally!-to queer FtM
activist, my life reads like a protracted study in contradiction.
In face of a society that routinely obfuscates, belittles and
demonizes queer nonconformity, what I try to do most is challenge
misogyny, compulsory heterosexuality, homophobia, and our culture's
simplistic conceptualization of gender whenever and wherever I can.
