The nighttime highway stretched beneath a moist, cottony bank of fog. The endless white line continued to whiz by. A mangled deer lay beside the road. Its organs were placed in a way that seemed more like a morbid art display, than road kill. The color Clear carried me out of this deer - away from Nun - and through the crack in his window.

"Darkness in the beginning, as in all things. Then comes light." Isn't that how it goes? I'm not a very smart creature. Nor am I a dumb one. I don't have much of a memory, as of late. So I follow the instincts of my heart -- if flies have such a thing. I used my instinct to find my way out of the darkness, out of the mud. I was swimming in the chaos of the primeval Nun, my soul lost in Her watery abyss.
