about the artist

Swivek is the music of West Hollywood celebrity stalker Bradley Jacobson and his gang of derelict teenagers. Our new album INTO THE BLUE is coming on October 16, 2007 and includes the punky pop of this summer's single "FLIRT" but 11 other songs including "Not A Love Song", "Shadows", "Happy Happy Happy" (our soon to be first video) plus an elektronix cover of goddess Pat Benatar's "Treat Me Right". We will also be featured on the third annual Flexible Records Halloween compilation coming next month!

Our last album Darkness + Light is still available for download and sale at www.cdbaby.com and through www.itunes.com. This record is abuzz with hypertensive energy and is among the most accessible of Swivek records, showcasing mad synthpop and classic rock in the same caffienated rush. Orange Television produce three tracks, providing some bonkers electro to counter Jacobson's newfound fetish for fast and catchy hard guitar pop. This album includes the punk kiss-off of "You're Not The One", the ranting synthetic rush of "Pissed", the Josie Cotton approved dance cut "Auto 54", and the perfectly twisted organ bop of "Radio".

Swivek has recorded a number of indie releases since its inception in 1999 including the rock oriented politically charged Army Fatigue (2005) and the poppy Happiness Is Hard (2004) which included a dancey trance version of "Where The Boys Are" and an ode to the Queen Of the Underground - Debbie Harry in "Debbie Doesn't."
