Maroon 5 is a rock band from Los Angeles, California that is heavily influenced by soul and is comprised of five members: Adam Levine (lead vocals, guitar), James Valentine (guitar, backing vocals), Jesse Carmichael (keyboards, backing vocals), Mickey Madden (bass guitar, vocals) and Matt Flynn (drums, percussion). The members of Maroon 5 have known each other since junior high school, with the exception of Matt Flynn who replaced Ryan Dusick in 2006, and were originally known as Kara's Flowers.


The band is best known for their hit singles "Harder to Breathe", "This Love", and "She Will Be Loved". Maroon 5 has won several awards for their debut album Songs About Jane which was released in June 2002. The album enjoyed major chart success, going gold, platinum, and triple platinum in many countries around the world. They return with their highly anticipated sophomore album It Wont Be Soon Before Long, which features the hit single "Makes Me Wonder." Album in stores now!
