my story begins on a not so special friday before christmas in the
mid eighties. i was brought into the world by the union of a young
cop who had never left his hometown and a well traveled interior
designer and teacher who really did not have as much ambition as
she pretended to. i grew up in an older suburban community that was
shaded by herds of large oak and pecan trees. we had a big back
yard and a forty year old house that had as much character as a
real home should. we have always had dogs and numerous other pets
of perhaps a more exotic nature. i was a trouble maker in elementry
school, an awkward goody goody nerd through most of middle school,
and a conservative church going kiss %#&@$! with seriously
repressed homosexual tendencies in high school. my passions were
music, theatre, and filmmaking... i didnt really care about much
else besides my best friend. my senior year of high school i became
an eagle scout, graduated, and then came out to a not so surprised
group of family and friends. i started my infamous college career
at the univeristy of north texas to try and advance my chances of
one day becoming the next big hollywood hotshot... after i take
over new york of course. this is the point at which we find me
currently residing. i sleep late and watch a lot of crap
television. i look at the world through a lens... constantly
contemplating my next masterpiece. i cherish moments with friends
and family. i take this journey one step at a time... i never stop
moving along the path. its bumps and dips and turns and detours
guide me always to where i am supposed to be. and i never think too
hard... because that is what gets me in trouble.
