Position Description:Are you our next Project Management expert?

Our Program Management Office (PMO) is responsible for fostering a robust program and project life cycle within the FICO Product Management, Product Development, QA, and IT organizations. This includes:
⿢ Developing, implementing and continuously enhancing project management processes, tools and techniques to improve project performance and business results.
⿢ Providing the essential link between project conception and formulation, execution, and portfolio management to enhance the overall value of project investments.
⿢ Partnering with other organizations within FICO to ensure quality delivery of our services and products to the market as well as to internal and external customers.
⿢ Leading the implementation of high priority product development projects.?????


What would you do in this role?

⿢ Working in our San Diego office, you would manage and motivate project teams to ensure efficiency and effectiveness while meeting project objectives.
⿢ Work closely with business sponsors, stakeholders and functional owners as needed to ensure well-defined business cases, strategies and project plans.
⿢ Complete appropriate project initiation and planning documentation.
⿢ Create and own project schedule, milestones, dependencies and critical path.
⿢ Track and report progress against the schedule.
⿢ Manage project, being accountable for deliverables, content, achievement of objectives and results.
⿢ Manage issues and risks, including the development of contingency plans.
⿢ Monitor overall progress and use of resources on projects and initiate corrective action where necessary.
⿢ Manage and coordinate project activity between FICO departments.
⿢ Provide ongoing tracking of project progress and issues requiring resolution.
⿢ Communicate status and issues to senior management and stakeholders.
⿢ Develop understanding of the organization's business strategies and apply knowledge to project activities.
⿢ Provide professional development feedback to managers of project team members.
⿢ Drive and support roll out of PMO processes, procedures and tools for software product development projects.
⿢ Collect and provide feedback from project team members on PMO processes, procedures and tools.?????
Qualifications:What is required to be successful?

⿢ Bachelor⿿s degree, preferably in a related field.
⿢ 6-9 years of project management experience, preferably on enterprise software product development projects.
⿢ Excellent communication skills, written and oral, for various audiences (technical, manager, executive).
⿢ Strong experience with MS Office Suite (Project, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio).
⿢ Experience briefing executive committee and business sponsors on project status.
⿢ Experience with process improvement, information systems and financial management aspects of business.
⿢ Track record of building positive working relationships across the enterprise.
⿢ Demonstrated strong leadership skills including: negotiating, influencing, communication and problem solving.
⿢ Ability to own problems and to find solutions with minimal direction.
⿢ Ability to influence change while being practical and flexible.
⿢ Experience successfully managing multiple, large-scale projects.
⿢ Experience with project management processes and methodologies.
⿢ Experience with software development project lifecycle (design, development, testing, implementation, etc.).

Experience with iterative development methodology such as RUP, along with PMI certification, and a financial or analytical software background?are preferred qualifications.??
