An Oracle PL*SQL Software Engineer is being sought to develop and maintain Oracle databases, conduits, repositories, and data flows for large scale Java/J2EE based Web applications for our client.

This role develops functions, procedures, ETL, queries, and decision support systems to develop effective and efficient Oracle database systems. This individual will analyze and decompose requirements and design and build Oracle PL*SQL components for applications, and will build and maintain access layers for Java developers. He/She will work with business analysts to clarify requirements and design applications for users.

The role follows coding and architectural guidelines and investigates and reports major deviations for analysis and rectification of functional units based on requirements including integration and performance criteria.

The qualified candidate will possess 1-3 or more years of experience with Oracle, PL*SQL, ETL, TOAD, SQL*LOADER, SQL*NAVIGATOR for UNIX, and Windows to design, develop, and implement Oracle databases for Java/J2EE Web applications.

Experience writing procedures, functions, packages, and triggers is required, as well as full-life-cycle development and problem solving to anticipate problems and correct situations. The ability to work with system and database administrators to ensure smooth operation of applications is needed. Experience is required delivering applications with minimal to no defects, to specifications and within coding and architectural guidelines. The selected candidate must be professional with a consistent work ethic and excellent oral and written communication skills.
