Job Description:

Ensure all acute treatments are performed in contracted hospitals according to the established policies and procedures and in compliance with all applicable regulatory requirements.Collaborate with the appropriate business unit and corporate personnel including Human Resources and Legal todevelop, implement and maintain written policies and procedures concerning the local operations of the Acute CareProgram.Ensure provision of dialysis related services such as hemoperfusion and plasma-pheresis if contracted to do so.Develop, implement and maintain a Continuous Quality Improvement Program to ensure the provision of qualitypatient care and compliance with all J.C.A.H.O requirements. Maintain documentation of all activities. Inform AreaManagers of progress made in aspects of Acute Care Program.Assure provision of hospital specific Q.A./CQI information as appropriate.Ensure compliance with all hospital regulations. Participate in all J.C.A.H.O., CMS, D.P.H. and O.S.H.A. surveys.Assure proper coordination of care between hospitals and out patient dialysis facilities as applicable.Participate in CQI meetings quarterly to assure proper reporting of acute CQI activiti

Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing (R.N.) / (B.S.N. preferred).Current appropriate state licensure.Advanced education preferred. Minimum of 1 year medical-surgical or ICU-CCU nursing experience preferred.Minimum of 1 year hemodialysis experience plus 6 months experience in an acute setting.Peritoneal dialysis experience required where program exists.Demonstrated leadership competencies and skills for the position, including continuous quality improvement,relationship development, results orientation, team building, motivating employees, performance management, anddecision making.Demonstrated management skills necessary to provide leadership in the supervision of dialysis personnel and toensure the delivery of maximum quality care to all patients.Employees have to meet the necessary requirements if Ishihara's Color Blindness test as a condition ofemployment.Excellent communication (written and verbal) and customer service skills.
