Bring a deep understanding of software development in a team, and a proven track record of shipping software on timeBe a strong leader, mentor, recruiter, and people managerHave experience with Internet-scale distributed systemsPossess a strong understanding of the web services industry, highly scalable web servers and caching servers, REST and SOAP, etc.Understand networking for example, routers, switches, load balancing, and the TCP/IP protocols including HTTP and DNSIdeally have led or participated in the design and construction of a large scale Internet network including DNS, routing, etc., or design and implementation of a large scale distributed system, or design and implementation of highly performant and concurrent web servers
