Acts on behalf of manager as required. Resolve unusual or complex systems and/or customer-related problems that can not be handled by assigned staff; investigate their source to minimize or eliminate their future occurrences. Lead and develop an effective team through communication, performance management, development plans and reward/recognition practices. Cultivate an environment that supports diversity and reflects the HSBC brand. Supervise personnel and workflow within assigned area of a more complex nature to ensure maximum staff utilization. Train or supervise training of staff, allocate duties and plan work schedules. Ensure results are neat, accurate and conform to established procedures, deadlines and external regulations.Guide and counsel subordinates on personnel matters, interpret personnel policies and hold staff meetings. Prepare or assist in performance evaluation preparation for assigned staff; recommend or initiate personnel actions. Act on behalf of manager as required. Complete other responsibilities, as assigned. Study workflow and recommend changes to improve efficiency. Explain and ensure proper implementation of changes. Maintain HSBC internal control standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators. Basic Qualifications: Associate’s degree in business, related field or equivalent experienceMinimum of one year’s proven supervisory experience or equivalentA minimum of four years proven and progressive experience in assigned area or equivalentStrong problem-solving, analytical and communication skills; proven supervisory and work leadership skillsProficiency with personal computers as well as pertinent mainframe systems and software packagesAvailability to work overtime as required
