personal message

Born in Dallas Texas in 1969. Went to high school at Lake
Highlands. Was a member of the skyryders drum & bugle corp in
1986. Music, dance, theatre (theatrics) and band has played a huge
part of my life for as long as I can remember. Moved to Norman
Oklahoma to go to the University of Oklahoma first to study bus
mis, and then later computer related mathmatics. While in the pride
marching band I met mate for life - David. Somehow (even with the
many outside forces at work) we have managed to last nearly 20
years. Began a career in female impersonation in 1989. I named my
illusion Jacqulyn DeVaroe and became serious about the art in 1992.
Soon after I won three national highly recognized pageant titles -
Miss Gay America 94, Miss Black Universe 96 and Miss USofA 97. One
of very few to win 2 out of the 3. We started our own dress
designing company in 1996 that has grown and is still growing. Just
recently did several dresses for legendary singer Sandi Patty. One
of her pictures is on the main page of our company site. Moved back
to Texas in 1998 at which time we ended my professional
impersonation career to focus on waht I now see as more important
things. Since we are not "allowed" the privledge to be married...in
2003 I had my last name legally changed from that horrible slave
name of "murray" to my partners last name. This turned out to be
more important than we had planned. For we had our first child in
2005 (via gestational surrogacy). Then in July we did it one more
time and got pregnant with twin baby girls that were due the last
week of March 08. Well on Feb 3 the girls got a bit anxious and
decided to come a tad bit early. Yeeks! Thier room is not ready but
all are doing just fine. Planning a move closer to NYC. Connecticut
to be exact. Looking for land/spec house. Once the girls get
settled a bit we are hitting it! Did a trip there last month and
the baby boy reached down picked up some snow and said papa what is
this and that sealed the deal for me. The views are lovely. Acreage
a plenty. Not to mention CT actaully will recognize our union
(Texas, not so much...) It is winter here in Texas and was 75
degrees. I won't even get into the July/August heat. We'd like to
see more seasons than 2 (hot and almost cold). Baby boy is getting
into taking pictures and posing (much like JD)so who knows he may
be a NYC model or if we're lucky, one of the kids may just like the
theatre. So for many many reasons.....it looks like we are heading
that way New England - finally. YEA! ..
