Been trying to figure out what to write here. I guess one of the most important things is that come May 30, 2008, my partner and I will be celebrating our 30 year anniversery and he is 12 years younger than I am (yeah, I have always liked younger men). Very seriously, he is the most important thing in my life We have 4 dogs, a Whippet, 2 Labs and a mutt and 2 cats (most of them foundlings) so that's the family. Oh yeah, some fish and 2 Cockateals. I love most sports (especially college - Go Sooners) , reading, travel and just spending time at home. I enjoy my friends and am always looking for new ones. I've been told that I am a true Gemini because I love to talk to anyone about anything. I especially love history and those other things you can't talk about in polite society (religion and politics). On the religion side I'm a regular at my church (it's mainline and not evangelical or fundamentialist) and am pretty much solidly centrist, well, maybe a little to the left,on the politics thing. I don't go around announcing that I'm gay, but if someone asks I'm not going to hide or lie. I did that when I was younger and in a fraternity and then the Army and I don't need to do it now. Oh yeah, about the Army thing, I'm a Vietnam vet but I only spent one tour there. One Tet offensive was enough. I graduated from Officer Candidate School at Ft. Benning, GA in January 1967 and was shipped off to the Central Highlands (Pleiku) in July and became an Infantry platoon leader, yikes. All but 2 of my platoon survived thanks to the really exceptional men in my platoon and some great NCO's that covered my butt. I have a small business that I run with my sister. Our folks started it about 25 years ago. If anyone needs any rubber stamps or embossing seals, name tags or nameplates just give us a holler. Pretty brazen bid for business but you gotta take it when you can get it. Well, if there is anything you want to know just ask, I'm pretty much an open book. I will try to think of other things to put on here at time goes along.
