A very Aquarian, bisexual Pagan who loves a person, not a gender.
Centered, spiritual, I am myself. I appreciate people who are real
with themselves as well as being real with the world.
The weekly drama is not my thing; I like peace and quiet. Trying to tell me about other people is not good, telling me about yourself is wonderful. There is nothing more beautiful than someone whose heart shines for the world to see. I spend my time reading mostly sci-fi and studying ancient history and comparative religions. Physics turns me on. I call it geek-porn. I practically salivate over the thought of possessing a rare book. Two, actually. A little expensive for me, at the moment, but I'll get around to owning them. I write sci-fi and post to my website. I've won 3 online fanfiction awards. I've begun writing a book which I hope to eventually get published. My thought of a nice evening is sitting quietly with a book or writing. The TV is not necessary, nor is music. I like the quiet. I am comfortable in the quiet. I enjoy camping, although I haven't gone in a long time. Getting over some minor nerve damage in my feet, so walking a ways is still out of the question. Miss camping, though. Tents and fire pits, not cabins and doors. Love animals and kids. I don't have any; don't have time for my own pet, and I can't have kids. I can love yours, though. My website is www.babylon-rising.com. photos (22)friends (10) |

Have you seen the new show on USA network called In Plain Sight? It's pretty entertaining, compared to other things that are on at the same time. Which is not much. The very first episode had our lead character, Mary, in bed with the pool boy. I realized that a lot of new shows are starting out with the lead character in bed with the opposite sex in the first episode. I keep getting the feeling it's the production team saying, "See? Our characters are straight!" Mary, if you are... (continue reading) Kids and Common SensePosted September 21st, 2007 at 02:55am
Yesterday at work, I work at an answering service, I had a call from a woman who speaks no English. She puts her daughter on the phone to translate. In the background, mom is literally screaming at the girl and I could hear fright in her voice. She even dropped the phone once. We got the message straightened out but there was nothing I could do except to ask her if she was alright. She didn't answer me. She sounded very young, so maybe she didn't know how to answer.... How many saw the Torchwood premiere? It was FUNNY! And a little darker than its mothership, Dr. Who. I was very amused to see all the same-gender sexuality as well as the expected opposite gender winking. Even a boy-boy kiss that led to a m/m/f 3-some. And on primetime! How refreshing! Of course, it was the BBC, and they tend to get away with more than us American puritans. Of course, the lead actor, no I don't remember his name, it's too early in the show for names....
