Even when I was kid I used to stay up late watching movies on HBO. When I got older and learned how to drive, I'd cruise up and down the freeways of San Diego in the dead of night as a way to make myself tired and to fight off the demons that plague my mind.

Every year after Comic Con ends, my best friend Carl will vow neve to return. For week and months after the event is over, he will say to "I am never going to again." I listen; I nod; and I buy my pass online a few months before the convenion. I know he's going. How else is he going to get the free stuff to sell on ebay. He makes most of his money selling items he either gets for free or buys himself.

I live in California, specifically San Diego which is the near the southern most part of the state. I've lived here all my life and anyone who's lived here a fair amount of time will experience an earthquake or two...or three.

Last week we had an earthquake up in the Chino Hills area which, I believe, is south and east of Los Angeles. Earthquakes are big news here. Since we don't get snow storms or tornados or hurricanes, we have our earthquakes.
