In case you haven't heard, there is a new organization in Hampton Roads, Hampton Roads OUTreach Center. Just in its infancy, HROC (which a lot of people pronouce H ROCK) was formed to create a LGBTQ Community Center in Hampton Roads. Sensing we need a "central clearing house" as well as meeting space and "fill in the gaps" organization for our HUGE queer community ( a low estimate is that there are 35,000 of us in Southeastern VA), and inspired by our neighbors to the west... Good Gravy! I just realized I haven't been on Glee since early October...but something I saw today fired me up!! Those 'ole Religious Right, Family Protectors are at in again- this time in my home state of Jersey- trying to take away the rights that GLBT folks already have. So after I sent a email to my relatives back home, I sent a post to the Jersey group here. It's good to have a way to reach folks back home.
