The Miami Herald reported yesterday that “Florida voters look close to passing a gay-marriage ban…” 

This is no joke.  

Despite more than a year organizing, raising money and spreading the word about Amendment 2, the latest poll shows the race will be close and voters could approve it.

Last year, the Tampa Tribune had this to say about the “Marriage Protection Amendment:”

Just days ago, backers of Amendment 2 were on their heels as major political leaders were lining up to say “No” and a public poll found support slipping.
