EXECUTIVE PRODUCER WANTED

FATfilms is looking to partner with an Executive Producer on its next two projects, RUTHLESS and PERSONAL JUSTICE. These projects represent the third and fourth theatrical features from the FATfilms team. With original high-concept premises, and a diverse target audience, both RUTHLESS and PERSONAL JUSTICE have excellent potential to crossover and reach a wide commercial audience.

RUTHLESS: a film about black-market steroids in bodybuilding.
PERSONAL JUSTICE: four students under-cover in prison.

Both projects are inspired by true life. Detailed Business Plan including Target Audience, Marketability, Budget, Director's Reel and a host of other information, is available. Basic project info follows:

RUTHLESS

PLOT SUMMARY:

Three bodybuilders decide to deal black market steroids to bankroll their compulsive lifestyle and quest to turn pro. Inspired by true life.

TRAILER:

SYNOPSIS:

ROGER and MICK are best friends, and DANI, a thickly muscled chick, completes the inseparable threesome. Addicted to Iron and doped on 'roids, their desire for bodybuilding stardom burns far beyond ordinary compulsion, and the only thing bigger than their bulging biceps, is their overblown egos.

Mick lives life without limits or inhibition and his 'roid induced sense of invincibility emboldens him to do virtually anything to maintain an edge over the competition. Roger struggles not to get left behind, torn between dreams of stardom and ethically questionable situations that arise from trying to keep up with Mick. Dani's intense need to win has blurred the line between femininity and her idea of the perfectly muscled physique needed to become a champion.

Roger and Mick find creative ways to earn a livelihood that compliments an extreme regimen of workouts, diets and contest preparation. When Dani nearly dies after injecting counterfeit steroids, Roger and Mick settle the score with the ROID DEALER by injecting him with his own bogus 'roids. With Roid Dealer out of commission, Mick decides to steal Roid Dealer's customers and deal 'roids themselves. Roger's uneasy about crossing the line from user to pusher but Mick convinces Roger they need to up their game if they want to turn pro this year. Recovering from her brush with death, Dani turns a blind eye to Roger and Mick's decision to deal steroids, finding it a safe and convenient way to maintain her own addiction.

NICHOLAS, a wealthy pharmaceutical tycoon, entices amateur bodybuilders with promises of the fast track to success. And ROY, a retired champion, fights to preserve the dignity of his sport in this new era of steroids and insider corruption.

Inspired by truth, "RUTHLESS" offers a powerful glimpse into the bodybuilding subculture never before seen by mainstream society, populated by neo-gladiators, chemically enhanced and living life on their own terms.

LEAD CHARACTER BREAKDOWNS:

ROGER: Lead / Male / 20-35 - a 'roided out and thickly muscled competitive bodybuilder but refreshingly modest, idealistic and genuine. He struggles between his conscience and doing whatever it takes to win.

MICK: Lead / Male / 20-35 - an imposing competitive bodybuilder, he's narcissistic, intense and fearless. The 'roids have made him forget he's a mere mortal.

DANI: Lead / Female / 20-35 - a masculine female bodybuilder. She's pretty, but maintains an awkward balance between femininity and bulging muscles.

ROID DEALER: Male / 30-45 / possible cameo for A-list star - a smarmy dweeb who clearly doesn't use his own product.

ROY: Male / 50-70 / possible cameo for a former champion bodybuilder - a retired African-American bodybuilder and one of the last links back to the sport's more innocent days.

MRS. VAN PATTEN: Female / 40-55 / possible cameo for A-list star - a middle aged desperate housewife. Attractive yet uninspired. Bored with life, but very sexual.

NICHOLAS: Male / 40-60 / a mysterious gentleman and president of BioTech Pharmaceuticals.

PERSONAL JUSTICE

PLOT SUMMARY:

A professor's experimental program sends four students undercover into a maximum-security prison for one week. The Warden knows the truth, but guards and inmates assume the students are regular cons. No mercy. No preferential treatment. No way out for seven days. An intense drama inspired by a program that existed, but was quickly discontinued.

TRAILER:

SYNOPSIS:

Robin is the best student in Professor Bennett's class, making it difficult for Bennett to refuse her request to participate in an experimental thesis program; to spend seven days in a maximum-security prison.

With an eye on academic acclaim, Professor Bennett views the program as an anthropological experiment that will offer the students an insider's view of the penal system. Despite the Warden's objections, the Professor uses political connections to get the program approved. Concerned for Robin's safety, the Warden orders Captain Berg to protect her round-the-clock; manufacturing the cover story that she's awaiting transfer to a female facility; a common procedure.

Eric, Robin's boyfriend, volunteers for the program so he can watch out for his girl. Andy, the college's queer star quarterback needs the extra credit to pass; though he can't deny being locked up with a bunch of sexually frustrated straight boys is a huge turn-on. And finally, T.J., from affluent African-American heritage, is bored with his posh life and in dire need to connect with something "real."

Enduring the rigors of admission protocol, the students discover the Guards are as dangerous as the Inmates. By week's end, the program builds to a crescendo when word leaks that the four new inmates are mere students on a glorified field trip.

LEAD CHARACTER BREAKDOWNS:

ROBIN: 18-24, female. Not just another pretty girl, Robin's the smartest student in her class. She's also confident, athletic, and able to handle herself in a man's world, both physically and intellectually; all while maintaining her feminine allure.

- Volunteers for the program to prove she can and because she sincerely wants to learn.

ERIC: 18-24, male. Robin's boyfriend. Classic good looks, loyal to a fault, and a true friend. His disposition leans toward caution and is a tad overprotective of Robin, but his feelings are genuine and his heart is in the right place.

- Volunteers for the program to watch over Robin but would happily spend time with her elsewhere if he could talk her out of it.

ANDY: 18-24, male. The All-American gay quarterback. Funny, endearingly narcissistic and Eric's best friend. Being gay is a non-issue and he's not the least bit stereotypical.

- Volunteers for the program because he needs the credit to pass; his carefree attitude lets him believe being locked up with sexually frustrated straight boys could be fun.

T.J.: 18-24, African-American male. Robin's closest rival in the classroom. Comes from an affluent lifestyle, with loving yet disconnected parents preoccupied with work and jet-setting.

- Volunteers for the program in search of something "real" but soon discovers he's unable to find common ground with fellow African-American inmates.

PROFESSOR BENNETT: (cameo for A-List actor or actress.) Intellectual, quirky, bookish. Prides himself/herself on ingenuity for creating the experimental program and having the clout to get it approved. Bennett's intentions are sincere, but he/she fails to bridge the gap between textbook theory and the real life danger the students have volunteered to face.

WARDEN: middle aged, male. A white collar wannabe stuck in a blue collar job. Is content to run things from behind a desk and let his guards do the grunt work behind the prison's bars. He's no fool, but prefers to turn a blind eye to both his guard's and inmate's indiscretions if it means he can punch out early and go home.

CAPTAIN BERG: male guard; the head guard and biggest, baddest mo-fo in the prison. While not corrupt or on the take, like some other guards, Berg enjoys the power and influence his job gives. Not the kind of guy anyone messes with.

STONE: male inmate; not threatening at first glance, yet there's definitely something unnerving about him that sends a chill down your spine. Between leveraging deals with cons and corrupt guards, Stone takes an interest in every "new fish" (new inmate) that comes into his cell block; often selling or trading them like property.
