Hi, everybody! My name's Eric, and I'm hoping to find other guys in the 30-50 age range for friendship and possibly more. A brief introduction: I live in Dodge City, Kansas, which sometimes seems like it's a million miles from nowhere. I don't mind the small-city atmosphere, but it gets a little lonesome sometimes - and driving to Wichita or Kansas City is too expensive and time-consuming to be a regular means of escape. I've learned to adjust, but it would sure be nice to find some friends. My favorite form of entertainment is reading, followed closely by movies old and new. I'm a sucker for a good romance, like The English Patient or Shakespeare in Love, but I also love good hard-hitting dramas. I also enjoy working out (although I'm too undisciplined to hit the gym regularly), baking, live theater, music and good conversation with friends over coffee or beer. I'm an ardent KU fan and a much milder Denver Broncos fan. My philosophy: I'm romantic enough to like the idea of love at first sight but also realistic enough to believe that real love grows out of friendship and shared interests. I'd like to be in a relationship someday, but I've learned to value friendship first, and that's what I'm looking for now. I'm not the hottest guy around — I tend to think of myself as average-looking on a good day — but I have a lot to offer to someone who's willing to look beneath the surface and value what they find there.
