My mini-bio
I was born in NYC in an neighborhood that is now known as Spanish Harlem. I was raised in the Bronx, moved out on my own back to Manhatten at 19. I went to Mercy college where i received a BA in Theatre and a BA in English. I did my graduate work at NYU receiving an MFA in Theatre Directing. Spent the next several years as a waiter, bartender, piano player and occasional extra work in Films and TV, thank goodness for commercials, they paid well enough to allow me time to audition. Except for a couple of Off-off Broadway parts, most of my work was in Regional Theater. I ran the Cuebox Players in NYC for many years, directing shows for communities, colleges and vacation resorts. My longest steady job was as a music teacher in Parochial school. Now I live in the Hudson Valley area of New York, direct for a couple of community theaters, give private music lessons and work as a psychic advisor. I have been very active in HRC, Act Up, and the LGBT communities.
On The Lighter Side
I drink coffee all day, smoke like a chimney. watch too much TV, try to see every stage show I can afford, and have an uncontrollable addiction to the internet. I am stubborn, opinionated, sometimes irrational, sarcastic and therefore single! But i am a devoted friend to anyone close to me, I have had all my shots and I am housebroken.
