My name is Rod and I'm really am an actor! I've been doing a lot of background acting so you may have seen me, but just not noticed me. I did have a speaking role in the movie "Simone" with Al Pacino, though. You may not know my face now, but you will one day soon!!

Before that, I was in the US Navy for 10 years. I was a broadcast journalist specialist. I met both President Bush (the first one) and President Clinton. I've been fortunate to see places I only dreamed of visiting thanks to my time in the Navy. Places as far east as Bahrain and the Persian Gulf, south to Columbia and the Caribbean (love Jamaica), north to an accidental overnight stay above the Arctic Circle in Thule AFB. Greenland and finally to both San Diego and Los Angeles, Calif.

Basically, though, I am just like you...a cool, laid back guy. I enjoy simple things like a picnic, the beach at sunset, movies, tv night with popcorn and my man by my side. I also enjoy dining out...maybe Burger King or maybe some fancy Italian restarant. Even a concert or theater once in a while is nice. I know a little Spanish and French, but am NOT FLUENT in either. So, if you want to know more about me, may I suggest that you not be afraid to ask me about ANYTHING! I will always be truthful and hide absolutly nothing from any honest question.

Why I prefer gay black men

Posted July 23rd, 2007 at 07:46pm

Every so often, I get asked, "Why are you attracted to black men? Why the fetish with dreads, braids or flat-ironed hair?" Well, I've given it some thought and have a few ideas on the subject and thought I would post them here for the world to see.

My parents were somewhat racist. Not card carrying KKK but they did have some strong opinions. I don't think I ever understood their sentiments, but I did hear them every so often. I did not socialize with any... (continue reading)

NBC executive Ben Silverman announced Monday at the Television Critics Association press tour that former "Grey's Anatomy" star Isaiah Washington, who was famously let go from that series, will have a recurring part on "Bionic Woman" in the fall. He'll appear in five of the show's first six episodes, and has also signed a development deal for an action series project with Universal Media Studios.

Ex-'Grey's' Star Cites Racism for Firing

Posted July 23rd, 2007 at 07:41pm

From the Associated Press, Jun 28, 10:01 PM EST

"Grey's Anatomy" star Isaiah Washington said racism was a factor in his firing from the hit ABC series after he twice used an anti-gay slur.

Washington, who initially used the epithet during an onset clash with a co-star, told Newsweek magazine that "someone heard the booming voice of a black man and got really scared and that was the beginning of the end for me."

He tried to make amends by expressing... (continue reading)
